Believing…
that the Church can provide an environment in which the child may grow “in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.”
St. Anne’s Day School offers a program consistent with the highest standards of quality early childhood education. In an environment of love and respect, each child has the opportunity to expand his/her concept of the world. Our well-rounded program provides for developmentally appropriate growth emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically, as well as spiritually. Children have the opportunity to initiate choices of experiences, as well as having educator- initiated experiences. These experiences encourage a spirit of inquiry, problem solving, and higher level thinking in a creative learning environment. Most of all, St. Anne’s Day School wants each child to know that he/she is a worthy person, acceptable and lovable just as God made him/her. Having a good self-concept and the opportunity to learn in a developmentally appropriate environment are gifts that last a lifetime.
PEDAGOGICAL MISSION STATEMENT
As part of our commitment to continually reflect upon and analyze our work and growth as a school, the 2008-2009 faculty members collaboratively wrote this Pedagogical Mission Statement. As is true with everything we do, it is a work in progress that we will continue to revisit and revise as necessary
To promote a nurturing environment, rich in complexity, where children, families, and educators alike are respected as competent individuals. We strive to cultivate a collaborative learning community where relationships can develop and thrive; exploration is encouraged, and learning processes are sustained.
